Hope-
If you looked up 'the definition of hope' on the internet, this is what would come up:
"to want something to happen or be true and think that it could happen or be true"-http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hope
But hope is so much more than that. Hope is a raging fire in your soul. And when that fire dies, so does a part of you.
There will always be people and things that will try to put out your fire of hope. They will throw words and actions in your face that make your fire smaller and smaller with every blow. But once in a while there will be something or someone that throws gasoline on your fire. They will make it stronger and bigger than ever before, which is a good yet a bad thing at the same time.
Hope keeps people alive. When nothing goes right, hope is what keeps you going. So when someone or something kills your fire of hope, you feel dead inside because the one thing that kept you alive inside no matter what, is gone. But occasionally, you'll hope for something that eventually comes true. And that is a feeling so great, not even words could begin to describe it.
That, is the true definition of hope.
